Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Silvia Michael is a certified family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She received her Bachelor of science in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington and Master of science in Nursing from University of Texas Medical Branch.

Silvia began her career as an emergency room nurse at HCA hospitals and nurse practitioner experience in both in and out patient settings. During her clinical rotations she gained experience in primary care, women’s health, and pediatrics.

In her free time, Silvia enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Practice Philosophy

Silvia believes that by treating each person as an individual, she is best able to help her patients maintain their health. She feels that the patient-provider relationship should reflect that of mutual respect and collaboration. Through this relationship, patients should be empowered to take an active role in their health.
